Energy Conservation Rebates
Peoples Gas offers homebuilders rebates for installing energy-efficient natural gas appliances. The rebates are per home and can add up when looking at the value of natural gas across an entire community. The program is designed to help offset costs associated with purchasing and installing gas appliances.

1 Tankless water heating units must provide a minimum of five gallons per minute (GPM).
2 Qualifying ENERGY STAR tank water heaters must have the ENERGY STAR certification or an efficiency greater than 10 percent over current Florida Building Code
and Federal Appliance Energy Efficiency Standards. The water heater model and serial numbers will be required.
3 Natural gas furnace must be a thermostatically controlled vented system with blower.
4 In order to be eligible this rebate, the GHP will need to be set up with a separate meter in order for the homeowner to take service under the GHP Rate Schedule.

Peoples Gas makes it easier to submit and track energy conservation rebates. Through our online portal you can:
Enter the lot and phase number for the home
Select applicable rebates (Please note: Dryer model and serial numbers are required.)
Process the rebates due for each home
Review and track the status of rebates, identify errors or missing information to avoid delays
Start your rebate
Please review the rebate requirements prior to starting your rebate. If you are working under a Developer Agreement with Peoples Gas, you will not need to upload any receipts to submit your rebate.
If you do not have a Developer Agreement you will need to have an electronic copy or scan of your dated installation and appliance invoice(s) saved to your computer. As a security precaution, the online application form will “time out” after sitting idle for an extended period of time. To avoid inconvenience, you will want to have your electronic documents ready to upload.
When you’re ready, complete and submit the Residential New Construction Rebate Application or the Custom Build Residential New Construction Rebate Application within 12 months from date of appliance installation. Once you submit the application, you will receive a confirmation number.
